Parking and Your Gear
Parking
Once you reach our driveway friendly volunteers will guide you to the parking lot. Don’t stop in the driveway as this slows the flow off the highway. Please follow their directions as we need to fit everyone in. Gather up all your gear (see below) and head for the big white registration tent.

The Gear To Bring
- Long, light pants and a t-shirt are best. Some legendary Mudders prefer shorts. Either way you will get wet and muddy.
- Running shoes or hikers. Each year Mudders donate shoes to the trail so best not to wear your favourites. The lighter the better.. as you will get wet and
muddy. - Bug spray. Might as well bring it. The farm doesn’t have many bugs but just in case.
- Water bottle. Start this full and then fill up at the water stations along the course as needed. You must bring collapsible water bowls to fill along the course for the dogs (and the creek). We have collapsible bowls for sale if you prefer.
- Towels for you and your dog. You can choose a wonderful spray down by the firefighters at the finish line.
- All dogs must be on leash at all times. Harnesses are great, collars are good, pronged collars are NOT allowed.
- Your phone for all your instagram worthy pics #ruffmudder
- Change of clothes. Obviously!
- A Toonie. Optional- but goes to one of our charities.
- Cash or card for food, dog treats, the Bark It Market and Beer Garden
What to Expect
Registration & The Course
Registration
It’s the big white tent. Dr Tai will be there to greet you.
You will get signed in, receive your wrist band with your wave time, pick up your swag and be directed to the start line. If you care to donate - we have buckets for your Toonie. For our American friends - Google this! If you’ve forgotten anything or have questions the registration ladies are there to help.
Any merchandise that you’ve pre-ordered will be at this tent. You can pick it up at anytime.
The Course
Everyone here understands that you might be nervous. We promise- you are going to have an amazing time. Reach out to any of the volunteers (orange shirts as usual). Cayra will be on the course for the entire time.
Each built obstacle is geared to allow all dogs to navigate successfully. If your dog doesn’t like a particular obstacle there will be a walk around. Of course most of the wet and muddy challenges DO NOT have a detour. We simply can’t let you get to the finish line clean and dry. (Where's the fun in that?!)
The course is very well marked and volunteers are stationed throughout. You can’t get lost. You can “pin” the Registration Tent on your phone if you want this added security. Remember- we’ve done this for years and haven’t lost anyone yet.
